9. Chris Barley - France
Chris Barley considers himself as a bit of a "nomad" as he has spent a large part of his
life travelling the world.
He is originally from France but has lived away from his homeland for over 25 years
now, in Africa, East Asia and now the Middle East.
He also has a background in psychology and martial arts, years of studies of the body
and the mind.
As an "immigrant" or "expatriate", however you would like to label it, his work is
infused with all the cultures and atmospheres he has experienced.
As a scholar of the body and the mind, energy and thought, he attempts to resonate with
peoples' unconscious through his art.
He usually exhibits abstract, modern paintings, with a style that could be called
“Abstract Expressionism". His technique shares many similarities, being expressive and radical, going beyond
superficial appearances and expressing his deepest emotions, revealing a certain
psychic intensity.
He has a fascination for the relationships between energy, the body and the mind and is
dedicated to the expression of emotions and energies through colours, textures, and
movement.
Due to their abstract nature, he likes his paintings to speak for themselves and prefers
to preserve the mystery behind them and not share his own state of mind when
painting them.

She joined various exhibits from her home country and conducted workshops and seminars for children and adults in the Philippines and Singapore. She also participated in selected art fairs in UAE in the past couple of years.
If the artist is not immensely absorbed in her art you'll find her enjoying her day job as a Graphic and Visual artist.

11. Edcel La Rosa Cabalan - Philippines
EDCEL LA ROSA CABALAN, a Visual Arts Awardee for Harvest of Honors (Ani ng Dangal
2022) of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts under the Office of the Philippine
President, and a Dubai-based Filipino architect. His artistry goes beyond the scope of
architecture. He is also invested in photography and has been given several local and
international recognitions in the photography society. Among his awards include
International Photography Awards, Buildings (IPA-PH), Sultan Bin Zayed Photography
Competition, The Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers UK, Xposure
International Competition, A Falcon's Shadow (Best of the Emirates), and many others.
But just like the rest of us, the current pandemic has taken his life’s normal course
including the flexibility to get creative in his ideal open field photography arena. Rather
than cave to the confinement and leave artistry at rest, the momentary lazaretto unlocked
doors to extend his craft beyond the realm of photography.
From still imagery in pixels to
brushstrokes- the transition to watercolor painting as his newfound creative outlet did not
come as herculean as he thought it would. The technicality of the new artform might have
been way far from photography, he stayed true to one of his basic principles in creating
an art- that is always have to come from the heart and such is manifested in the release
of free-flowing expression of artistic imagination and emotion in every stroke. The
perception of having a seemingly perpetual time faints out the uneasiness and provided a
safety net to carefully freeze the moments that are worth to keep- from scenic imageries,
familiar affairs of everyday life, to remarkable elements of modern and Renaissance
architecture.

12. Eashan DasGupta- India
I’m Eashan Dasgupta, an artist residing in the UAE since birth. Over the years I have
taken up the role of an artist who's constantly growing and exploring different themes. I’ve been
creating since a very young age and have displayed signs of interest in art which my parents
picked up on very quickly and have given me a lot of exposure in the field of art ever since and
are constantly supporting me and helping me evolve.
The thing that inspires me to go on though is wanting to push my art as far as I can and evolving
in terms of skill and ability to fuse concepts to create my own. Throughout the years I've come
across artists in the field of music, specifically metal music and grunge and from them I have
learnt the art of symbolism and the idea of placing subliminal messages. Another driving factor
is wanting to learn more about the world so I can use concepts in fields such as psychology and
philosophy and implement those in my art.

15. Kharen Tacmo - Philippines
Kharen's journey as an artist began when she was in 3rd grade. She was always recognized for her
creativity and artistic talent whether it is in school or outside. At a young age, she already knew that art
is a part of her soul. Being around so many people is not always comfortable for Kharen because he is a very shy youngster. She consistently believes that it is safest to maintain her silence and let the unheard voice at the back of her mind some space. Her parents discovered that despite her conduct, she had a lot to say and that her art talks more than words can. They chose to send her to art classes, and she eventually improved her abilities and, at the age of 11, began exhibiting. She then attended the
Mastery Program at Milan Art Institute based in Georgia USA and sold her art around the world ever
since.
Through the years, Kharen's way of painting and art has evolved. Her style is a combination of realism
and abstraction. In her process, she loves to start very loose using big brushes and slowly stacking it up
with smaller brushes up to the final details and highlights at the very end. She is currently based in
the United Arab of Emirates with her husband and children painting 5 days a week in her studio in Ras Al
Khaimah with the beautiful view of Jabel Jais Mountain. She may consider relocating to Dubai sooner or
later but at the moment she is enjoying her beautiful tranquil studio. She plans to exhibit more in the
future and would love to put more hours into creating.

Where Past and Future, different people, different countries and nations are
somehow interconnected in some strange and unexplainable way. Sometimes we
manage to see the cause and effect. Most of the time we cannot. Ever since I’ve been seeing this subtle kind of ‘power network’ embracing people
and events throughout my life journey: shifting countries and cities, giving births
to my four children, graduating from the Nizhniy Novgorod State University (M.A.
Fine Arts, diploma with distinction), teaching Arts & Crafts in the Russian Music
Center for almost 20 years, participating and prize-winning of numerous
international events and exhibitions, seeing my former students graduating from
the well-known art academies all over the world, sending my paintings to private
collections from Moscow to London, Kyiv to Dubai, burying my loved ones… I’ve got a strange, though strong feeling that an Artist always has kind of
responsibility of keeping this fragile balance of interdependence between men and
matter, healing and fixing the damaged segments of this ‘network’, or highlighting
the problematic spots of it – with her works of art. Like a ‘band-aid’ applied on yet
another open wound of humanity and nature.
Such is my Mission… Such is my Creed…

37. Vandana Arora - India
This is Vandana Arora, an intuitive/portrait artist. I am an intuitive/portrait artist. I believe that creating art doesn't have to be to always produce impressive artworks, but rather also to explore and express oneself. And that is how we create intuitive artworks, a reflection of your inner self.
I also strongly believe in improving community well-being through art. This belief allowed me to create several intuitive art-based programs which every part of our society can benefit from. Since then, I have been striving to bring art into as many people I can so that they learn how to heal themselves through art. The best part about intuitive art is that one doesn't have to be an artist to be able to do this kind of art. And every artwork is unique to you.
Art has been an integral part of my life, being a graduate in designing I always kept art alive inside of me through illustrations and designing. I also thoroughly enjoy making portraits. Faces always fascinated me, I was intrigued at how a simple stroke done differently can transform it into a completely different person. Since then, always striving to perfect my portraits.
